Terms of Use
Last updated: October 6, 2026
1. What these terms cover
These terms apply to the Ad Block Safe browser extension and this website. By installing or using the extension, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't install the extension — and if it's already installed, remove it from your browser's extensions page.
2. What the extension does
Ad Block Safe filters advertisements, pop-ups, and tracking requests on web pages you visit, and checks domains against a regularly updated list of sites associated with phishing and malicious advertising. Filtering is driven by rule lists that we update over time.
3. What we can't promise
- Not every ad, every time. Advertising techniques change constantly. We update our rules regularly, but no blocker catches everything, and we don't claim otherwise.
- The safety list is a layer, not a guarantee. The unsafe-domain check reduces risk; it does not replace your own judgment, your browser's protections, or security software. A site not being on the list is not a declaration that it is safe.
- Sites may occasionally break. Filtering can affect page functionality. When that happens, pause blocking on that site with one click.
4. Fair use
You may use the extension for personal and business browsing at no cost. You may not:
- rebrand, resell, or redistribute the extension as your own product;
- reverse-engineer it to interfere with its operation or the services it relies on;
- use it in any way that violates applicable law.
5. Websites and their ads
How you browse is your decision. Some websites rely on advertising revenue, and some ask visitors to disable blocking. The extension gives you a one-click pause for any site you choose to support — the choice, and the responsibility for it, stays with you.
6. Updates and changes
The extension updates its filter rules automatically and we may update its features over time. We may also update these terms; when we do, the date at the top changes and the current version is always available at this address. Material changes will be noted plainly.
7. Liability
The extension is provided "as is", free of charge. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from its use — including missed content, site breakage, or harm caused by pages the safety list did not catch. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Termination
You can stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it. We may discontinue the extension or its services, and we'll say so on this website if we do.
